LIBRARIES in Monmouthshire are holding internet taster events to help people learn more about using computers as part of the national Spring Online campaign.
Caldicot Library will be holding a drop-in session on April 2 from 10am to 12pm to teach people how to download e-books and magazines.
On April 4, Caldicot Library will be holding a session between 2pm and 4pm for people to find out more about facebook and twitter.
Chepstow Library will be holding an informal IT and cake session on April 3 for anyone worried about using computers from 2pm to 4pm.
The Spring Online 2014 with Carphone Warehouse is a digital inclusion campaign by Digital Unite. From March 31 to April 4 thousands of free events are held across the UK to encourage lasting use of the internet.
Fiona Ashley, community librarian at Caldicot Library, said: “For some, computers can be a little scary, and they just need a helping hand to get them started.”
