APPLICATIONS for the Newport Women’s Forum Awards have opened.
The awards aim to empower and support women by providing funding for their personal development.
Women who live in Newport can apply for a grant up to £1,000. Applications must show the money would make a significant difference and are welcomed from individuals or groups.
The closing date for entries is May 21 and will then be considered by an adjudicating panel and the winners will be announced at a special ceremony.
Past winners have secured funding to help to buy tools, places on training courses and tickets to conferences.
Rosemary Butler AM, who chairs the awards, said: “The Newport Women’s Forum Awards are a fantastic opportunity for individuals or groups of women to apply for funding to help continue their professional development.”
