GWENT Police are appealing for help in finding a Newport man who went missing yesterday.

Michael Evans, 59, was last seen at around 1pm on Monday and is white, around five feet two inches tall and of medium build.

He has short dark grey hair, balding on top and was last seen wearing a turquoise polo shirt with white stripes down the sleeves, blue jeans and black trainers.

Michael is known to frequent Christchurch cemetery, Beachwood Park and Cwmcarn Scenic Drive.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Gwent Police on 101 quoting log number 258 09/06/14.
