NEWPORT City Council is asking residents to not only recycle at home but also when out as part of national Recycling Week.
The Welsh Government has funded 1,041 recycling bins over the last year and Newport council is urging residents to use them.
Councillor Ken Critchley, cabinet member for infrastructure, said: “Recycling helps the environment and we ask residents to remember to recycle when they are out and about.
Andrew Osborne, of Recycle for Wales, said: “Wales has many beautiful places to visit and a large number provide recycling bins.”
Newport City Council is aiming for the Welsh Government target of 70 per cent recycling by 2025.
