TWO men, one thought to be carrying a knife, pushed past a Newport homeowner in a bid to rob the property yesterday.
Two men turned up at the address on Comfrey Close at around 3.45pm and pushed their way past the owner demanding money. One of the men is thought to have been carrying a small pocket knife.
No money was given and both men left the address empty handed. The resident was not injured but was shaken following the incident.
The pair are described as being white and in their 30s and both spoke with local accents. The man believed to be carrying a knife is described as being of muscular build just under six feet tall with short dark hair. He was tanned and wearing a black t-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms. The other man was wearing a blue jacket and had a piece of cloth covering face.
