A FURTHER arrest has been made after violence in Brynmawr which saw three police officers injured.
following an incident at approximately 1am yesterday morning, Monday 16th June, which left three police officers injured.
The officers were called to a report of an attempted robbery at around 1am yesterday morning at Market Square, Brynmawr, and while making an arrest, people unconnected to the robbery became involved and the incident escalated into violence.
The three officers, two women and one man, were taken to Nevill Hall Hospital in Abergavenny for treatment and have since been released.
Four people, two men aged 28 and 23 and two women aged 23 and 26, have been arrested on suspicion of assault and violent disorder and remain in police custody.
The man arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
