Gwent's last branch line running from Pontypool Rd over the famous Crumlin viaduct and into the Vale of Neath officially closed.
On Saturday the 13th of June 1964, the last scheduled passenger train; the 21:10 from Pontypool to Treherbert; passed over the Crumlin Viaduct.
