WHATEVER your height, dress or shoe size, you deserve to look as fashionable as the next person.

Being of above average height myself, and with my best friend being a a little bit taller than the average elf, I know the struggle to find nice clothes that actually fit is very real.

While for me tops , jackets and coats end a good few inches above my wrist, for her skinny jeans have to be rolled up around five times before she can see her feet.

With that in mind, this week’s column is looking at the best shops for petitie, plus-size and tall ladies everywhere.

From the highstreet to online, buying clothes that properly fit shouldn’t cost the earth. But until relatively recently, the curvy, the very tall and the very small had to buy from pricey specialist shops.

Traditionally, there has always been more of a focus on petite clothing rather than tall or plus size. But slowly, the High Street is catching up.

Now, buyers have cottoned on to the fact that not all women are exactly 5 foot 4 and a perfect size 10-12.

New Look online has a good selection of everyday basics and smarter wear in all three ranges, while I personally swear by the Tall section at Asos.

Topshop have an excellent and varied petite section, ranging in size from a teeny-tiny size 4 and 28” leg. Their tall section, while not as broad, is tailored to fit those ladies’ taller than 5’9 and covers everything from leggings and jeans to dresses and tops.

Asos’s small section goes down to a size 2 and is excellent value for money, in styles which are fashionable and on trend.

Other retailers who offer both tall and petite include Gap, Next , Very and Marks and Spencer.

Great plus size stockists include Evans, George at Asda, Matalan, Asos Curve and Simply Be.

Plus size website Curvissa.co.uk is home to a fantastic collection of quality plus size women’s fashion in sizes 14-32, offering exclusive ladies clothing and brands.

Taking a departure from the sad muumuus and sack like dresses curvy women have been offered in the past, Curvissa offers fashionable and stylish clothes at a decent price.
