ROCK fans from all over Europe are again set to descend on Blaenau Gwent next month, as the Steelhouse Festival returns for its fourth- successive year, bringing the cream of the Classic Rock world to the heart of the valleys.

Scottish rock fans Claire and Craig Anderson will make an be embarking on a 800-mile round trip, travelling all the way from Kilmarnock to attend the festival.

Mrs Anderson, 39, said: “We haven’t been to a festival since the late 80’s, however, we’ve recently got back into attending gigs after our eldest daughter – Adele, 14 – caught the music bug.

“We saw the Steelhouse Festival advertised in various rock magazines and thought, why not. We all enjoy live music and it makes it even better when we can all enjoy it as a family and, above all, that we’re expecting great Celtic hospitality. ”

Festival co-founder Matt Rhead said: “We’re again, incredibly humbled that so many people travel so far to join us at this wonderful location to share in our passion for great music. Tickets have been purchased from as far afield as, Holland and Sweden for this year’s show. It’s a credit to the calibre of artist that we have on the bill this year, that they are able to attract such a loyal following. I guarantee that the warm Welsh welcome will blow them away.”

The Steelhouse Festival is takes place on July 19- and 20 at Hafod-y-Dafal Farm, near Ebbw Vale.
