THE South Wales Argus is planning on marking the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War with a special commemorative pull-out supplement.
We are looking for stories about the people of Gwent during this time.
Did your great-grandfather fight at the Somme, or did your aunt work in one of the many munitions factories across Wales? Was your uncle one of the policemen who boarded the SS Belgia in Newport on the day war broke out, August 4, 1914? Was your grandmother a nurse in France?
We particularly want to talk to those who still have photos and letters of family members during this time.
If you have an family story from the First World War that you think people should know about, get in touch. Call reporter Keiligh Baker on 01633 777006 or email keiligh.baker@southwalesargus.co.uk.
