LAST week we ran a story about a mystery ‘Good Samaritan’ who brought back a wallet lost at the side of the road.
Now the honest stranger has been revealed as Glyn Jenkins, 46, from Barry, after a reader recognised the story and got in touch with his contact details.
Argus reporter Jen Mills, 26, lost the wallet in Newport on June 11.
But thanks to Mr Jenkins, the wallet was returned with all the cash and cards inside.
From the address on her driving license he brought it to her Dewsland Park Road address, but Ms Mills was not at home.
Mr Jenkins said: “It’s a bit sad that a person who does the right thing makes the news – it wasn’t a big deal; I was just in the area.”
Ms Mills said: “I’m very grateful to Glyn – and I’ll definitely try to return any lost wallets to pass on the good deed debt.”
