A NEWPORT teacher has attended a reception at the House of Commons to celebrate winning a national award for his hard work and dedication as a teaching assistant.
The Pearson Teaching Awards hosted the event last Tuesday to honour all those who have won a silver teaching award in 2014.
Danny Johnson, of Millbrook Primary School, won after being shortlisted from more than 20,000 nominations. He will join 59 fellow silver award winners at the finals at London’s Guildhall on October 26.
