VOLUNTEERS from a Monmouthshire supermarket helped maintain a charity’s nature reserve with a visit and donation on Thursday.
Staff from the Caldicot Waitrose branch, along with others from Abergavenny and Pontprennau, helped clear up Magor Marsh with Gwent Wildlife Trust (GWT) staff as part of their Partner Volunteer Day. The celebration marked that the branch will also donate £17,500 to GWT after they won a staff ballot to give them half of all the money the supermarket chain raised through the carrier bag charge in Wales over the last year.
