VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help look after the 200-year old Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.
Volunteers are asked to join a monthly volunteering team that helps maintain and improve the waterway that runs through Goytre.
The call comes from Gland?r Cymru - the Canal & River Trust in Wales – which is recruiting a Towpath Taskforce that will be based at Goytre Wharf. The taskforce encourages people to come out, get their hands dirty and help protect some of the most important heritage and wildlife along the canal.
Work will include maintenance and tidying, but can be extended depending on the skills within the group. Anyone interested in taking part can contact alan.sumanll@canalriverturst or 07920 534 098.For more information visit http://canalrivertrust.org.uk/volunteering
