GWENT Police are appealing for information after a 23-year-old mother was reported to have been robbed by a man with a kitchen knife in Newport.
The armed robbery took place at 11.45am yesterday along a path at the rear of Cormorant Way, Duffryn, where the victim was walking with her three children.
The mother-of-three had stopped to tend to her children when she was approached by the man, who showed her the knife then searched her pushchair.
The man, who is white with a tanned complexion, between 5ft 7in and 5ft 9in tall and of stocky build, then cycled away on a bike lying on a path nearby. He was wearing a black, zipped hoody with the hood up, a black balaclava, black tracksuit bottoms, black trainers and black gloves with red lines on the palms around 25 to 30 years-old with a local accent.
The bike he rode away on was silver and yellow with red suspension springs at the front and a black spring at the back.
