THERE are flood alerts in place for the Wye Estuary in Monmouthshire and the Usk Estuary tonight.
The Environment Agency reports that high tide at Newport is expected to reach 7.4 metres at 8.39pm today.
High tide at Chepstow will be 25 minutes and at Tintern 45 minutes later than at Newport.
Further high tides are expected tomorrow. Current predictions are that tomorrow mornings high tide will be below the alert level.
