NURSERY leavers donned graduation caps and gowns in Cwmbran to mark their achievements as they progress to primary school.
The 26 four-year-olds from Henllys Village Nursery lined up to receive their scrolls from the Mayor of Torfaen, Councillor Mandy Owen.
With proud parents and grandparents watching the event, nursery manager, Emma Hardwick, said that the children were very excited during the proceeding.
In true graduation style, the children threw their caps in the air and posed for group photographs.
She said: βIt was a lovely day but was also quite emotional with tears from parents, grandparents and staff.β
The graduation is an annual event for the nursery who had the specially designed caps and gowns shipped over from America.
The majority of the children will be going to Henllys Primary School at the start of the school term.
