POLICE held a hoe down in Monmouth on Tuesday, with a barn dance and fun day for people to meet their local officers at the town’s station.
Children soaked Monmouth Sergeant Dave Seymour in the stocks before making the most of a barbecue, live music and face painting, with more than £130 raised for the Monmouth Off Street Project.
The day was a “huge success and we all had great fun”, a spokesman for Gwent Police said. “A big thank you to all the local businesses and community groups who donated raffle prizes.”
