1. Newport County fun day
Saturday - Following Newport County's game against Carl-Zeiss Jena, fans can enjoy a fun day at Rodney Parade from 4pm. There will be community football, BBQ, stalls and other activities. Five bands including a German band Whose Pinska will be playing at the Rodney Hall.
2. The Big Cheese Festival, Caerphilly
Saturday and Sunday - Caerphilly's big summer festival kicks off on Friday 25th July with music, funfair and spectacular fireworks display at 10pm. The park & ride service will be in operation from 3pm on Friday at St Cenydd School, at £1.50 per car with the last bus returning from site at 10.45pm.
The full entertainment programme starts on Saturday 26th and continues into Sunday 27th July from 11am. Park & ride services will be in operation from St Cenydd School and Bedwas High School costing £3 per car. Buses will run from 10am with the last bus returning to the park & rides at 7.45pm.
From discovering the Castles’ rich historical past in the re-enactment arena, indulging in the delicious treats in the food halls, to seeking the thrills of the funfair and jiving to toe tapping beats in the music marquee, the Big Cheese weekend offers something for all the family to enjoy.

3. Burton's Biscuits Family Fun day
Sunday - Burton's Biscuits Family Fun day will feature a bouncy castle, horse rides, face painting, and penalty shots and food and drink stalls. The event will take place from 12pm to sunset at Llantarnam Leisure Centre and Fields, Llantarnam Rd, Cwmbran, Gwent NP44 3XB. Entrance is £1 with all money raised going directly to Children in Need.
4. Ballet Summer Dance School
Saturday - Ballet Cymru present another summer of dance at the Riverfront Theatre & Arts Centre.
5. Blaenau Gwent Horse and Dog Show
Saturday - Blaenau Gwent Horse and Dog Show is being held between 10am-4pm at the Cwm Welfare Ground Canning Street, Cwm, NP23 7RD.
6. Monmouth Bed Race and carnival
Sunday - Part of the nine-day Monmouth Music Festival, the bed race will kick-off at 1pm, starting and finishing in Agincourt Square.
Carnival procession/parade leaves at 2pm from Priory Street. Vehicles including vintage cars, racing cars, skateboards and bikes. Severnside Marching Band will lead the crowds of walking entries, musicians and morris dancers through Agincourt Square, down Monnow Street to the Festival site.
Prize giving from the stage is immediately afterwards. There’ll be live music at the Robin Hood pub.
