Gwent Police have confirmed that the body of a 77-year-old man from Newport was recovered from the River Usk.
A police spokeswoman said that there are no suspicious circumstances.

EMERGENCY services were called to the River Usk between Newport and Caerleon this evening after reports that someone had fallen into the water near the M4 bridge alongside the Brynglas Tunnels.
