BRITAIN’S best cyclists came to Chepstow last night for the grand finale of British Cycling’s Elite Circuit Series.
Crowds turned out as the series, made up of six separate races, culminated with Monmouthshire playing host to the only race on Welsh soil.
This year’s Elite Circuit Series began in Otley on July 2, which saw the Tour de France peloton pass through on their way to Paris a few days later.
The field of nearly 60 riders had a number of South Wales cyclists including Ed Laverack, the new under-23 British Champion, winning this title only a few weeks ago at Abergavenny.
The Tour of Britain will also come to Monmouthshire in September.
