GWENT Police are re-appealing for help to find a 79-year-old man who has been missing from his home in Cwm for nine days.
David Edwards was last seen at midday on Saturday, July 26.
His niece, Tracey Rowland, 51, from Ebbw Vale, said: “Again we’re appealing for anyone who has information at all about where he is or if they have seen him.
“All of us in the family are very very concerned about David and his whereabouts and welfare. It’s been over a week now and still we don’t seem to be anywhere near to finding him.
“We’re coping, we’re OK. We’ve been busy talking about where he could be and where he could have gone. We just want him back.
“We’ve been guided by the police. We’ve put posters up and on facebook. This is the thing, you’re left wondering where he could have gone, you feel a bit helpless because you don’t really know what to do for the best so we just had to leave it to the police.
“If anyone has information take it to the police.”
Mr Edwards is described as white, 5ft 2in, of a frail build with shaved grey/white hair. He was last seen wearing light-blue stripy shirt and brown trousers.
Mr Edwards worked in both the mining industry and in the steelworks before he retired and has suffered with a bad back for several years.
His niece previously said: “You could say he suffered with some ill health, He takes tablets for his blood pressure. We think he may be a little bit depressed at the moment, but this came out of the blue. It’s so strange, and not at all like him.
“I last saw him on Friday (July 25) and he looked quite frail, but seemed OK. It’s so strange and unexpected.”
