COMEDIAN Jason Manford has added a Newport date to his forthcoming tour.
The comic will take his ‘First World Problems’ tour to the Riverfront on October 11th, one of a further 18 dates added for the Autumn.
On stage Jason encourages audience participation by inviting them to share their ‘First World Problems’.
Jason said: “I have really been enjoying this show, the audiences have been absolutely fantastic and I love nothing more than making them laugh. They have been such a great support and I can’t wait to see more of them this autumn.”
He has been constantly on the go since he was last on tour. After his opera singing turn saw him emerge the winner on Born To Shine (ITV1) Jason put his new found talent into practice joining Alfie Boe on tour.
This was followed by a well-received run in the critically acclaimed hit West End musical Sweeney Todd, starring Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton. In April 2014 he appeared alongside Shameless star David Threlfall in ITV1’s drama based on the life of Tommy Cooper, ‘Not Like This, Like That’. Jason hosted a brand new series on BBC One, A Question of Sport: Super Saturday throughout June 2014. He has enjoyed appearances on QI (BBC Two), Big Fat Quiz of the Year (Channel 4), and Comedy World Cup (Channel 4).
