ENTRIES are pouring in for a Blaenau Gwent social housing company’s calender competition.

Tai Calon Community Housing, which is running the Tai Calon-der competition, has had 70 entries, with more than a month to go until it closes.

Spokeswoman Hefina Rendle said: “The competition is now in its third year and interest in it has certainly grown. This year we opened it up early at the request of entrants.”

All photos are being put on Facebook and users will be able to vote for their favourites.

Twelve winners will also see their picture printed in the Tai Calon-der and win £75 in vouchers of their choice. There is also a prize for the photo which gets the most Facebook ‘likes’.

Ms Rendle added: “We have been amazed by the quality of the photos again this year. We have had some stunning views as well as some more unusual pictures.”

All entries must have been taken in Blaenau Gwent.

The closing date for the competition is September 15.
