THE anti-Nato march through Newport on August 30 is set to have "a sea of Palestinian flags", campaigners said today.
A statement by the Stop The War Coalition based in Cardiff, one of the organisations which is taking part, said: "As the world leaders in Nato gather in Newport, their main ally in the Middle East continues a devastating onslaught against the Palestinians in Gaza."
The statement calls for an arms and trade embargo.
The statement added: "That’s why we want to see a sea of Palestinian flags right through this demonstration. We have to send a message to Obama, Cameron and the other Nato leaders loud and clear; break the link with Israel. End the siege on Gaza. Freedom for Palestine."
