First service held in Sardis Chapel after renovation: On Sunday, March 4, the first service was held in Sardis Chapel, Ynysddu, after major renovation work there was completed.
In spite of heavy rain, more than 70 people braved the elements and came to worship.
They enjoyed a very joyful service, conducted by Allen Powell, interim moderator.
Rose Scull, soloist, and the Sunday school children, also contributed to the proceedings.
All future services will now take place in the chapel.
There will be an official opening service at the end of the month.
Castles at Ynysddu Primary School: The children of the school have completed a castle project.
All the children were given the task of making castles at home and then bringing their fantastic fortresses into school.
The school hall is currently full of castles and teachers say it is truly an amazing sight - there is even a castle cake.
The pupils' creations were all so good teachers were unable to select a winner.
As a result, every child who took part was given house points and a certificate.
The school allotment has had its first crop harvested and it has already had a visible effect on the school with the daffodils used for decorations on St David's Day grown on the allotment.
Chris, the school clerk and resident Jack Of All Trades, has been very busy building the shed, but he has received help from parents, grandparents and the other allotment holders.
The shed was purchased with the profits from the school's open day and the cash prize of £25 for winning the Caerphilly Clean up Campaign.
I am sure there will be plenty to report from the allotment when the growing season starts.
