BLAENAVON held its first vintage festival across the town at the weekend, and attracted around 300 people.
Held on Saturday, the event was put together by the Blaenavon Town Team, and saw a vintage fashion cat-walk show take place at Moriah Chapel.
In upper Broad Street there were demonstrations on beauty and hair products.
In Bethlehem Chapel there was a display of wedding dresses and photos of Blaenavon brides who were married in the chapel over the years.
In Lower Broad Street there was a market area selling crafts, arts and food products.
While the larger car park in Market Street held a flea market and in the smaller car park was a display of vintage vehicles.
The Constitution Club sold an array of vintage clothing and jewellery.
The mayor of Blaenavon cllr Sylvia Lewis said that that the event was one of the best ever arranged by the town team.
She added: “Everyone worked really hard to put the event on, especially Amy from Cafe 1860, Stacey from the florist and Rod and Jack from the dance team.
“It was a lovely day and we hope to host an event like this next year.”
