A CWMBRAN store is gearing up to give a day’s takings to charity.
Clothing company Bestseller – which operates stores including Cwmbran’s men’s clothing outlet Jack and Jones – is holding its first ‘Give-a-Day’ that will see a day’s takings donated to charity.
Store manager of Jack and Jones in Cwmbran, Catherine Fresstone explained that the event will take place on Friday, April 10. She said that Bestseller will donate an amount equalling the net turnover of all its owned and partner-owned retail stores and online sales.
Fifty per cent of the turnover will be donated to global charity causes selected by Bestseller, and the remaining 50 per cent will be donated to UK homeless charity Crisis.
Catherine said: “Last Friday our store took around £2,500, and it can range from around £1,000 to £2,000, so we want to encourage as many people into the store as possible.
“All of the staff are really excited and we hope to boost sales even further by hosting in store events such as a cake sale that we will add to our takings for the day.”
The event will run between 9am to 5.30pm on Friday, April 10.
