POLICE have appealed for help in finding a man who failed to appear in court after being charged with taking a vehicle, burgalry and theft.

A warrant has been issued after Michael McDonagh, 33, who police say is from the Traveller community, failed to appear at Newport Magistrates Court in March after being charged with theft of a motor vehicle, taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal, and six counts of burglary other than dwelling – theft.

McDonagh is white, 33 years old, six feet one inch tall and of medium build. He has blue eyes, a pale complexion, short/ balding brown hair with a high receding hair line and a strong Irish accent.
