THE parliamentary election candidates for Gwent have been confirmed after nominations closed at 4pm today.
Six parties are contesting all of Gwent’s seven constituencies in Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Islwyn, Monmouth, Newport East, Newport West and Torfaen.
The Socialist Labour Party has put forward two candidates, the Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition have put forward two, one English Democrat candidate is standing, one from the Communist Party and one from the Monster Raving Loony Party.
For Blaenau Gwent, the candidates are:
