A CWMBRAN family is celebrating a year since their daughter received a hearing dog to boost her confidence.
Poppy Clough, who is 14 and attends Llantarnam School, was given Tanni by the charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
And Poppy’s mum Rebecca said Tanni has been a great support: ““[Deaf people] can feel quite vulnerable. For Poppy it has helped her confidence. Tanni’s helped Poppy in that she wakes her up in the morning and if we want to tell Poppy something and she’s not in the room, we can send Tanni.”
