PREMISES licence fees for betting shops, adult gaming centres, family entertainment centres and bingo premises are due to be set for the next 12 months.
If the plans are passed by Monmouthshire council’s licensing and regulatory committee next week, it will cost £2,163 to apply for a bingo licence, while an adult gaming centre premises permit will cost £1,625.
An annual fee to continue operating bingo, adult gaming centre and betting premises will cost £1,000.
Members will be asked to pass the plan at a meeting at County Hall in Usk next Tuesday, to come into force from May 21 until May 20 next year.
The authority has a statutory duty to set premises fees.
Each are set every year under legislation in the Gambling Act 2005.
However, it agreed not to approve casino licences at a meeting in November 2012.
