FIREFIGHTERS tackled more grass fires across Gwent last night.
Crews attended deliberately set grass fires in Gaer and Machen Mountain which they will re-visit today.
Usk crew attended to trees on fire in Woodside Trading Estate Llanbadoc at 8.44pm and crews from Ebbw Vale crew attended a grass fire in Garnlydan at 8.28pm.
Aberbargoed crew attended a grass fire in Pentwynmawr Newbridge at 8.27pm and Maindee crew attended a grass fire in Liswerry at 8.19pm.
Malpas crew also attended another grass fire in Newport at 8.22pm and Cwmbran crew attended trees on fire near Coed Eva School at 8.14pm.
Aberbargoed crew attended trees on fire in Bargoed at 8.05pm and Caldicot crew attended to a grass fire on Blackbird Road in Caldicot at 7.44pm.
Risca crew attended to a grass fire on Twmbarlwm mountain at 7.41pm and Aberbargoed attended a grass fire in Phillipstown at 7.40pm.
