A RABBIT breeder will supply six animals for Countryfile presenter Adam Henson’s educational farm.
Professional rabbit breeder Kerry Gwillym from Fairwater, Cwmbran, featured at the recent T show in Malvern earlier this month aiming to educate children through the outdoors.
While at the show with two of her white Himalayan rabbits she met presenter Adam Henson who took to the rabbits asking Ms Gwillym of he could buy several for his educational farm in the Cotswolds.
“I am secretary of the Royal Three Counties Show at Malvern called CountryTastic which is in its eighth or ninth year,” she said.
“The show is one day where people bring animals or anything country related [and the show is] aimed at children as it is all about educating them.
“It is not an ordinary country show as it is not commercialised.
“I took some rabbits-white Himalayans down to his book signing and he was impressed with how quiet they were.
“He was really taken with them.”
Now Ms Gwillym will bring six baby Himalayan rabbits to the presenters farm, Cotswolds farm Park, in the next month where they will interact with children to provide an educational experience.
