A NEWPORT guest house recognised for giving a warm welcome has been named a finalist in the AA’s Bed and Breakfast Awards 2015.
John and Patricia Bees from Labuan Guest House are among 25 finalists for the friendliest B&B category, nominated by AA Inspectors who inspect and rate more than 2,300 B&Bs throughout the UK.
Labuan Guest House is a 170-year-old Victorian property and has been restored over the past 12 years.
Mrs Bees said: "We are absolutely delighted to be nominated as finalists for this wonderful award and can’t thank the AA Inspectors enough for putting our name forward.
"Running a B&B is not a job, it’s a way of life, we love every minute of it and it’s very important that our guests feel this when they stay with us at Labuan House. We want them to leave feeling as though they’ve been staying with friends."
The winner of the AA Friendliest B&B Award will be announced at the AA Bed and Breakfast Awards lunch at The Landmark London Hotel on Tuesday, May 12.
