TGI Fridays will be creating 70 jobs when it opens its fourth Welsh branch at Friars Walk, Newport in November.
Recruitment dates will be announced in August for prospective employees at the restaurant, which was has been named by the Sunday Times as the top best company to work for in 2015.
The new Friars Walk restaurant will feature an island kitchen and bar, where diners will be able to watch their food being cooked and see TGI Fridays’ bartenders showing off their cocktail-making skills at the bar.
David Carroll, property director for TGI Fridays, said: “We’re looking forward to introducing new team members to the Fridays’ family in Newport and can’t wait to open our doors in the city.
"We are thrilled to be a part of the Friars Walk scheme and we think that TGI Fridays will be the perfect fit for locals looking to let their hair down and enjoy our famous food and drink.”
Friars Walk is set to open to the public on November 12, 2015 and will offer numerous stores including Debenhams, River island and H&M, restaurants including Nandos, Cosmo and Las Iguanas and a Cineworld eight-screen cinema.
The £90m scheme is being developed by Queensberry Real Estate and constructed by Bowmer and Kirkland.
