RETAILERS and business owners are being encouraged to join customers and ‘Choose the High Street’.
Caerphilly council says it has commercial sites and premises available for newly-formed businesses or those in search of larger or additional premises.
An online Retail Property Index provides an in-depth database for all vacant business premises in the county, providing a list of all accommodation types on business parks and in town centres, including offices, retail facilities, development sites and all sizes of industrial units.
It is provided by local and national commercial agents and is updated regularly.
To assist people considering a pop-up shop, the council’s Town Centre Management team has produced a guide.
Cllr Ken James, cabinet member for regeneration, planning and sustainable development, said: “We have a number of flexible support services available for business owners and retailers which aim to nurture the new and help the existing ones thrive. I would urge owners to get in touch to see what help and advice is available.”
