FIREFIGHTERS battled a deliberate grass fire in Abergavenny last night.
A patch of two hectares of land was alight on the Deri, sending smoke across the town.
The blaze was attended by three fire crews, a South Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said.
The two crews from Abergavenny and another from Crickhowell were called at 5.47pm. The last left at 8.50pm.
