AROUND 50 youngsters took part in the second Chepstow Walking Carnival today.
The carnival made its way around Bulwark in a procession which was led by carnival queen 11-year-old Marley Fitzgerald, who is currently a pupil at Thornwell Primary School.
She was assisted by her princesses.
The group rode through the streets in a vintage model T Ford, provided by Bethany Care Home.
Irene Williams, chairwoman of Chepstow ComBaT, a community group representing Chepstow, Bulwark and Thornwell which organised the event said: “Many wore fancy dress ranging from a ninja turtle to a muffin man.
“It was grown from last year and those taking part made a good effort.”
The carnival finished at Thornwell Football Club where there was live music, a fancy dress competition, go carts and a coconut shy.
The event was held in aid of St David’s Foundation.
