Easter Services: Wyllie:Good Friday, April 6, 10.30am Reverend Marion Barge and her congregation will hold the March of Witness around Wyllie .
Easter Tuesday, April 10, at 7pm in the Wyllie Islwyn Inn, Rev Barge will be holding Songs of Praise in the Wyllie Pub Restaurant.
St Tudor's: Saturday, April 7, 8pm, Easter Vigil - a service which will start in complete darkness, the church will gradually be lit to symbolise the start of Easter Sunday.
St Theodore's: Thursday, April 5, at 7pm - Stripping of the altar Good Friday, April 6, at 10.00am St Theodore's will join the witness march from Alexandra Road in Ynysddu to Cwmfelinfach Community Church for tea and hot cross buns.
Good Friday at 2pm Devotional Service Easter Saturday, April 7, - the church is open at 10am for decorations. Flower donations welcome.
Easter Sunday at 10.30am Eucharist.
Sardis Chapel, Ynysddu: The newly renovated chapel is looking lovely and everyone is looking forward to the Easter services.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, April 2 to 4, the chapel is open from 10am until 12pm for anyone wishing to see the renovations. Coffee will be served.
Maundy Thursday, April 5. Service at 7pm conducted by the Reverend Peter Noble.
Good Friday morning, April 6, starting at 10.30am church members will walk from Alexandra Road to Cwmfelinfach Community Church where they will have cups of tea and hot cross buns.
Easter Day, Sunday, April 8, at 3pm. A happy Easter Service in Sardis with children and puppets performing.
Cwmfelinfach Community Church: On Good Friday, April 6, Cwmfelinfach Community Church will welcome all the churches that take part in the Witness March from Ynysddu to Cwmfelinfach.
They will gather in the Baptist schoolroom for hot cross buns and tea. The groups should arrive by 11am.
Cwmfelinfach's Good Friday service at 7pm and the Easter Sunday service at 11am will be conducted by Reverend Sue Bray.
Bethal, Wattsville: Meetings over Easter are as follows: Good Friday at 11am - The Cross Remembered.
On Easter Sunday at 11am, family service with children taking part and followed by the annual balloon release.
At 6pm on Easter Sunday, April 1, there is an Evening Celebration Service followed by refreshments.
Siloh Chapel, Gelli Groes: Easter Sunday School Service will be at 11am and as a special treat there will be an Easter egg hunt in the chapel grounds for the children.
The Easter Sunday Evening Service will be held at 6pm conducted by Reverend Diane Notley.
Mothers' Union to hold healing service: The next Mother's Union meeting is on Tuesday, April 3, at 2pm at St Theodore's in Cwmfelinfach.
This month there will be a special healing service.
Ynysddu Primary is growing strong: All those who helped with the primary's open day can now see big improvements in the school allotment.
The shed is now in place and planting has started.
The school also hopes to have a flower and vegetable show in the summer.
The school thanks the allotment association for it help in getting the project going.
Ynysddu Primary has also been granted the Eco Schools Silver Award based mainly on the savings made in water usage identified by the ECO review.
The school's latest bill shows big savings have been achieved and Ynysddu Primary has been asked to apply for the Green Flag Award.
More green-themed success for the school came when it earned second place in the Climate Change Challenge, primary school section.
They won a very large Penguin Waste Bin thanks to a poster competition entry by Karlee Howells of Year 5.
CYT Care Home Easter Activities: Activities co-ordinator, Steve Adams, has arranged lots of activities for the residents of Craig-y-Trwyn on Good Friday.
There is the Easter Bonnet competition, and some papier-mâché Easter eggs to paint for decoration so the home will be looking bright and cheerful for Easter.
Councillor to hold Surgeries: Councillor Jan Jones will be holding her monthly surgeries on Saturday, April 7.
As usual they will be starting at 12pm at the Progressive Club, before moving on to the Haven on the Hill for 1pm and finishing up at 2pm at the Jubilee Club.
