GWENT Police is again appealing for an anonymous caller who has information about slavery and forced labour in Gwent to call back.
The caller rang the police on Wednesday, May 27, and then Wednesday, June 3, and left a message on the answerphone of the Senior Investigating Officer of Operation Imperial, Detective Superintendent Paul Griffiths.
The Operation Imperial team is investigating incidents of slavery and forced labour and the short message that was left indicated the individual had knowledge and information which could help officers.
Gwent Police first released their appeal on Friday, May 29, and on Saturday re-issued their appeal.
Detective Superintendent Paul Griffiths said: “I’m grateful to the individual for again trying to make contact with us, but I would ask that they again call and speak with me personally as clearly they have significant information which is vital to our ongoing investigations.
“I would urge the caller to ring me directly on 01633 642238 – I will be available on this number between 9am to12pm on Monday, June 8.
“I thank the individual in advance for their help and for doing the right thing.”
