A PUBLIC search is set to be held on the Isle of Wight tomorrow night in a bid to find a missing Blaina man last seen on May 27.
Leaflets were also handed out in Sandown town centre earlier today as police continued appealing for help finding 71-year-old Michael Davies.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: "There is an ongoing police investigation to locate 71-year-old Michael Davies from Blaina in Wales who was on holiday with his wife, visiting the island as part of a coach trip.
"A team of detectives and specialist officers with local knowledge continue to work to identify potential lines of enquiry since Mr Davies went missing from a hotel in Sandown on the evening of Tuesday, May 26, 2015.
"The last confirmed sighting on CCTV shows Michael walking along Avenue Road in Sandown away from the seafront outside the Southern Co-operative store at 43 minutes past midnight on the morning of Wednesday, May 27, 2015.
"Numerous and extensive land and water searches involving specialist officers, dogs, and rescue volunteers have taken place over the past fortnight in the areas surrounding Avenue Road since May 27. Aerial searches have also been carried out over Sandown.
"Officers have been in Sandown town centre today delivering and displaying more appeal leaflets.
"Police always appreciate offers of support from members of the public to find Michael Davies, and are aware of proposed plans for a public search in Sandown tomorrow evening.
"We would ask the organisers of this search to contact us in advance so we can give them appropriate advice."
He added: "Michael, known as Mike to his family, is described as white with cropped white hair.
"He was last seen wearing jeans, a horizontal striped blue and white T-shirt, a blue jumper with the number '95' on the front, and a cream coloured baseball cap.
"Further enquiries have also established that Mr Davies was carrying a torch with him on the evening of his disappearance.
"There remains no evidence at this time to suggest Mr Davies has been the victim of a crime.
"A key line of enquiry continues to be a specific appeal for members of the public on the island to check their own gardens, sheds, outbuildings or caravans. It is possible Mike Davies sought refuge in the local area where he may have become confused, unwell and unable to call for help.
"There is concern that Mike may not have access to blood pressure medication that he needs.
"Police would like to thank partner agencies, media organisations and members of the public, all of whom have helped with information in response to our appeals and enquiries so far."
Michael or anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Isle of Wight Investigation team at Newport police station by phoning on 101. Mini-com users can phone 18001 101. In an emergency, please call 999.
