NEWPORT East MP Jessica Morden will hold a debate at Westminster this afternoon on use of organophosphates in sheep dip during the 1970s and 1980s.
She wants the issue revisited to determine what evidence on their use and potential health effects was available at the time.
Chronic health problems among hundreds of farmers have been alleged to be linked to such products, used to treat sheep scab, but the issue has not been fully investigated.
Ms Morden has been involved in the case of a constituent Stephen Forward, from Undy, whose long term health problems are believed to be linked to the use of organophosphates.
The debate will take place in Parliament's Westminster Hall, from 4pm-4.30pm.
