GWENT Police are investigating after tacks were thrown on to the course of the Wales Velothon in Caerleon yesterday.
A Gwent Police spokesman said: “No complaints or reports of injury have been received, but anyone who believes they were injured as a result of items being deliberately placed on the road is asked to ring 101 so a statement can be taken. "
Anyone who has any information or saw anything suspicious is asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
