A TREDEGAR man has been charged with causing death by careless driving.
The 54-year-old man has been charged after the collision between a car and a pedestrian on The Promenade in Tredegar.
John Ernest Roach, aged 76, of Glyn Terrace in Tredegar, died after the collision with a Mazda on Tuesday, April 14
He suffered severe head injuries and was taken to University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, where he later died.
An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned in April.
The man charged with causing death by careless driving will appear at Caerphilly Magistrates' Court on July 16.
