OLYMPIC medallist Jamie Baulch and former Olympic champion Colin Jackson will be donning their Y-fronts on Father's Day for Go Dad Run, a 5k charity run to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.
The run will take place on Sunday in Bute Park in Cardiff at 10.30am and is open to men and boys aged 11 and over.
Runners are encouraged to complete the course wearing a pair of blue light-hearted oversized Y-fronts over their sportswear, which they will receive upon arrival.
Wales rugby legends Martyn Williams and Tom Shanklin, and television presenter Sian Lloyd will be among others taking part.
Mr Baulch, 42, from Risca, said: “We’ve seen with Race for Life how a lot has been done for breast cancer, but blokes are a little bit shy when it comes to their own personal problems.
“We have a long way to go, compared to women, and I hope this will raise awareness to help people feel comfortable about talking about it. You never know where this might go.
“I’m just hoping to beat Martyn Williams over the first 50 metres before my hamstrings go.”
Each year more than 40,000 men in the UK are diagnosed with prostate cancer and one in eight men in the UK will develop the disease in their lifetime, which rises to one in four men of black African/Caribbean background.
Places are still available for Sunday’s run and runners can sign up via www.godadrun.co.uk. Entry costs £10 for boys aged 11-17 and £15 for men aged 18 and over.
