DAY 5
I was really tired this morning and didn't want to get up. The TV crew always wake us up really early and we decided last night we would make it seem like we've been at an all-night party so we all headed for Rebecca's room. Bore da everyone!
We're really bonding as a group and the morning session went well with Nia. It's sinking in more and more but I need to try interacting with people and real Welsh speakers more, so our activity this afternoon was to go to Machynlleth market and try to sell vegetables in Welsh. I was with Derek and working against Nicola and Rebecca.
A few people on the street recognised us and before long I was shouting the Welsh words for carrots ('moron') and new potatoes (' tatws newydd'). Needless to say we won them over with our charm and it was great to win a challenge for a change. As a forfeit, Nicola and Rebecca will have to serve me breakfast in bed tomorrow. I can't wait!
The time here has flown past and I can't believe there are only two days left. I'm going to milk them for all their worth and leave with as much Cymraeg as I possibly can.
