Four vehicle accident on A48 near Newport causing delays

Traffic flowing from Cardiff to Newport is also slowing past the scene which is causing congestion.
UPDATE: 9.10am
The cars have been moved to the hard shoulder. All lanes have been re-opened.
There is still congestion on the M4 to J29 A48(M).
UPDATE: 7.55am
A FOUR vehicle accident on the A48 is causing traffic on the M4 to J29.
There is queuing traffic and one lane closed on the A48 Eastern Avenue inbound in St Mellons between the A48(M) J29a St Mellons junction and Pontprennau.
There is congestion on M4 to J29 A48(M).
