Gwent Police have confirmed that the trailer was found on the A574 Birchwood, Junction 11 of the M62.
That is around 160miles from Newport.

A TRAILER carrying £12,000 worth of biscuits has been stolen from Burton's Food in Cwmbran.
Gwent Police said the incident happened at around 3.10am on Wednesday at the Burton's plant on Ty Coch Way.
We're investigating the report of a trailer containing £12,000 worth of biscuits being stolen from Burton's Food Ltd on Ty Coch Way in Cwmbran.
The incident occurred at approximately 3.10am on 17th June.
The empty trailer was later located in the Warrington area.
Burton’s confirmed that "goods and a trailer" were stolen from their Llantarnam factory during the early hours of Wednesday 17th June. They said it was an isolated incident and that they were working closely with the police.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting log 348 17/06/15.
