UPDATE, 9.17am: There is slow traffic on the A48 inbound at Pont Ebbw roundabout.

UPDATE, 8.51am: There is also heavy traffic on the A40 westbound in Monmouth. 

UPDATE, 8.34am: Traffic is busy around Chepstow Road but moving between the Cross Hands traffic lights and The George traffic lights in Newport. 

There is also slow traffic on the M4 westbound before junction 25a, on that motorway eastbound around junction 29, on the A467 in Rogerstone and down to Forge Road before Tredegar Park.

UPDATE, 8.01am: A Welsh Ambulance Service spokeswoman said no one was injured in the crash on the M4 earlier. 

UPDATE, 7.43am: There is other heavy traffic on the M4 from junction 24 from the Coldra to junction 26 at Malpas. Expect delays.

UPDATE, 7.30am: A South Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said the crash involved a lorry and two cars. All people in the vehicles were able to get out of them safely before fire crews from Duffryn and Malpas arrived. Firefighters were called at 7.16am.

She said there are paramedics at the scene.

The M4 is partially blocked and there is very slow traffic eastbound between junction 28 at Tredegar Park and junction 27 at Highcross in Newport because of an accident.
